I just want to make good music that will make people feel and make people think. I get up every morning and look forward to how I can wake up one more closed mind in this world. How I can affect one more persons life or day by giving them something worth experiencing.

I'm a 31 year old African American brooklynite, born and raised. I lived in the hood, grew up in hood, but never considered myself a hood person by definition. I was raised by my mother, who was a well educated school teacher, to always apply myself and strive for greater things. While I was always smart, I fell under the pressure of being great. As I started caring less about school I began to craft my talent as a rapper. Hip hop showed me that there was a medium for me to express myself in ways I didn't know how up until that time. It became my passion, it became my life.

As years went by, and the popularity of hip hop grew, the quality of main stream rap was increasingly going down the drain in my opinion. As my music was mainly for me and friends enjoyment it became clear to me that I should focus my attention on getting my music heard on a wide scale. I went to college for music business and alas if thought I was on my way.
What I didn't expect to encounter was this underlying need to make "elevated" music in a time where the mainstream didn't sound like anything I wanted to be. Without a label backing l was challenged on what music I should be making and how to get it heard. With the booming technology of social media and recent, undeniable social, and cultural events, I am now free and able to be the artist I want to be and the artist the world needs.
